Ishimaru Akimoto

Normally, I wouldn't be getting myself into something that's so popular these days, but since I was one of the kids who started on the online journal trend... I guess I could update my journal every once and a while. Especially now, when most of the drama over school has ended. :)

Whatever, it's time to move on and get on with life.

History:
I ate it.

Apppearance:
One of the tallest in the class, Ishimaru stands at an often exagerrated height of 5'11. The majority of his looks come from his mother's side of the family, which is the main reason why he appears to be fully foreign, rather than the half he is. His dark hair is long with slight curls in it here and there as a nod to his father. Lately, he's been neglecting to shave, so he has been leaving the facial hair to a light stubble. Ishimaru sticks out like a sore thumb wherever he goes because of his appearance. Whether this is a good thing, or a bad thing, Ishi isn't too sure yet.

Personality:
Ishimaru Akimoto has taken on the role of the nice guy in class, going out of his way to hold doors open for people behind him, pick up mp3 players that have fallen out of someone's pocket and return them to their owner, and generally keeps the old saying "do to others what you would like to be done for yourself" in mind. He attempts to model his personality after what ever is influencing his life at the time. He tries to become popular with the personality he sets up for himself, but, in the end, it's all just a facade to hide who he really is. Ishi is a paranoid counterfeit, through and through. His true self has been showing of late in a pissy, sarcastic, angry, and semi-violent (not through actions, but through movements and vocabulary) attitude.

Overnight Bag:
Toothpaste, toothbrush, hairbrush, shampoo, soap*, change of clothes*, etcetera. Baseball cap, disposable camera, three cans of Mitsuya Cider (soft drink). :)

Family:

Hannah Akimoto (Mother) - Ishimaru's mother. She has a full time job working in America, her homecountry. As far as Ishimaru knows, his mother's job is classified. Atleast, he hasn't been told what she does. Everytime he asked, he'd always get a dodgy look from his father, so he has given up. She's been doing her work in the West ever since the year Ishimaru turned twelve. The two have been exchanging letters back and forth, but they've stopped months ago.

Shuichi Akimoto (Father) - Ishimaru's glorious father. He works at a partime job at the local pharmacy, and is currently going back to college to become a dentist. His relationship with his son is a positive one, even though Shuichi sometimes isn't home for days at a time. Shuichi isn't a drunk, or anything, it's just that he gets lost in his studies and has to take a complete break from the people around him.

Ayumi Akimoto (Cousin) - An eighteen year old cousin of Ishimaru's. She visits Ishimaru's home oftenly, hanging around with her older brother Sanji. Ayami and Ishimaru are very close thanks to the two's love of rock music. Unlike Ishimaru, Ayumi doesn't play a musical instrument. Instead, she's an avid fan of the genre who keeps on the lookout for whatever illegal rock material she can get her hands on. They don't stay in touch as much as they used to, though, since she's been up to her neck in books for a higher level of education. This has caused a slight push away between them because now she reminds him of the way his father is with his work.

Sanji Akimoto (Cousin) - A twenty year old cousin of Ishimaru's. He used to play in a rock group called "S.A.K.E." until he and the other bandmembers were arrested. After being released out of jail, he swore off rock music indefinitely. Ishi thinks that Sanji is a wimp for abandoning his true calling, but he has never said this to San's face. Now, San plays backup (rather than lead like he did before) guitar for the Japanese Pop group "Fall*N*^".

Extra-Curricular Activites: Choir, and the basketball team. (Ishimaru quit choir a little while ago after "just not feeling it anymore".)

Classroom Behaviour: "Ishimaru is a relatively good student. Like any other child, he only gets loud when he's near his friends. Away from his friends, he is quite focused during class. It would be great if Ishimaru kept this focus around his friends instead of cracking inane jokes. As of late, he has moved a half-step up to a B. Hopefully, he continues to improve. All he lacks is some motivation, since he certainly is smart enough to become an A student in due time."
"Ishimaru appears to be regressing back to his old grades, with everything slipping down to a low point. Nearly all of his assignments are getting turned late, he's acting up during class, and shooting back smart comments to his teachers. It only becomes worse when he's near his friends. Aiiro Watanabe - The two have been best friends ever since they were seated next to eachother in third grade. As expected when a boy and a girl are best friends, there are some rumors that they are more than that. The rumors are untrue, although one of them might like it if they weren't.... Ishimaru is a little ticked off at her because of the fight she had with Han and is still trying to calm down.

Akimitsu Zenshima - Ishimaru hates Akimitsu simply because of his lack of respect for anything that remotely resembles rock. While Ishimaru believes that rock is an art, Akimitsu believes exactly the opposite. Of course, this causes a lot of needless friction between the two. As an added bonus, Ishimaru views Akimitsu as being a stuck-up tightwad. Ishi suspects that Aki was the one whom murdered Yuzuru, and the recent news article only fuels this suspicion.

Reika Takami - Although they aren't as close as he and Aiiro Watanabe, the two are on friendly terms.

Eri Fujimoto (Deceased) - Their relationship is on a friendly level, although Ishimaru wouldn't really consider her as being a friend. It's more like his relationship with Reika Takami. Eri's death has hit Ishimaru harder than it probably should, turning him into a worse student than he was before. It's confusing to him why there aren't enough people mourning over her.

Han Hakuba - Who doesn't hate Han, the kid who hates everyone and no one? Ishimaru, like most of his classmates, believes that Han is a spoiled brat who needs to get a life outside of being an idiot. But, he doesn't hate him as much as he used to and now is starting to pity Han.

Yuki Kichiro - Ishi doesn't show this, but he is pretty jealous of Yuki. He doesn't understand why Yuki, a kid in a wheelchair, is so popular, and so great. His calmness and Zen-like personality annoys Ishimaru to no end, as well. This jealousy has shown on occasion, but Ishimaru makes sure to keep it well-covered.

Tanak Kobayashi - Ishimaru doesn't like how Pro-Government Tanak is, and who he is best friends with. If Tanak was a little less for the military, and wasn't Aki's best friend, then Ishi probably would be Tanak's friend. He's on the basketball team with Tanak, but doesn't go out of his way to participate with him during the games and practices.

Shinichi Mutou - Ishi is also jealous of Shinichi, but on a lesser level than Yuki. He is more annoyed with Shinichi's calm personality than anything. One night, when Shinichi and Yuki were visiting Aiiro's, he and Aiiro overheard a secret of Shinichi's, about who leaked Aki's name to the news. Ishimaru doesn't plan on letting anyone know what he and Aiiro now know, since he has nothing to gain from it. Shinichi and he are on the basketball team, but like with Tanak, he doesn't try to play alongside him too much.

Wen-hai Nomura - Ishimaru doesn't think that it's right that Wen is constantly made fun of by Tanak and Aki. He wants to try to stick up for Wen everytime it happens, but "I'm busy right now...I'll help him out next time." This 'next time' doesn't ever come for Ishimaru, unfortunately. Ishimaru is pissed off by Wen due to the fact that he doesn't seem to care much about Eri since he can't even rememeber her name.

Aoi Minazuki - Ishi doesn't really know what to think of Aoi. So far, he doesn't think too highly of her because she's friendly with Akimitsu.

Sora Amachi - While he is concerned about her being so sad and quiet looking during class, Ishi doesn't try hard to be her friend. Why try when you know that she'll turn down all friend requests? The rumors circulating her do not help Ishi's desire to befriend her, either, and, usually, he would ignore such things, but he just can't when her gloves fit them so well.

Harue Ito - She and Ishimaru don't talk very much, so Ishimaru doesn't really have an opinion on her.

Minako Ichi - They both were in the choir together and met through that. Although they're on a friendly-neutral level, Ishimaru doesn't know her well enough to call her a true blue friend.

Shiori Nagashima - The two are on friendly terms, much like his relationship with Eri Fujimoto and Shiori's best friend, Reika Takami.

Takeshi Kunagai - Having met on the basketball team, Ishimaru and Takeshi are pretty good friends, despite the popularity gap. They hang around each other a lot because of that.

Amaya Hikari - Even though they're friends, Ishimaru doesn't actually know very much about Amaya, asides that she likes rock and enjoys talking about Shinoru and Kohaku, two kids from her old school. After Aiiro was hospitalized, Ishi started to become better friends with Amaya. Their friendship became a little more than just about rock music now. They're still not extremely close on an Aiiro/Ishi level, though.

Shinya Motomura - Ishi doesn't talk to Shinya at all. Really, who does talk to Shinya, anyway? They'd probably be on friendly terms if Shinya actually took the initiative to make some friends, but, unfortunately, that isn't the case.

Yoko Hoshino - The newest girl in the class. He doesn't really know her too well because of that. (finally, a good enough excuse! XD)

Jin and Jiro - are soooooo gay. Ishi thinks Jin and Jiro are totally giving each other the buttsecks in the music room at school.

Tadako Fukazawa - Doesn't know her well enough. The only interaction he has with her is during class, and even then, it's not that much.

Kagura Yamada - Same with Tadako.

Nyamo Yamazaki - ...Same with Kagura. (jabazeezus, ishi get out more!)

Misaki Tama - Pretty much, he thinks that she's a jerk that needs to get the stick out of her ass. Ishimaru and Misaki don't talk together a lot, but from what he's seen from how cold she is, he's not even going to bother to know her any better.

Onabe "Onee" Misuta - He made an attempt earlier in the year to befriend her, or atleast get the shy girl to open up a little more, but nothing came out of it. All he got was frustrated by wasted effort when Onee was so unresponsive to everything.

Kumi Ichijo - Being the nice guy he was, Ishimaru met Kumi through lending a helping hand when she fell in the halls one day. Both started to talk about stuff, and, ta da, a friendship was born. (The guitar connection helped a lot! XD) Although they are friends, they aren't that close at all. He's avoiding her now adays so she will stop offering to tutor him.

Shitano Mechano - They're not that close, but they're both talk with one another oftenly enough.

Relationships aren't exactly finished, either, but they will be done eventually like the History. :P Be glad he has a written down personality now! XD

Why does everything bad happen to this school? First, one kid dies, Aiiro gets stabbed and hospitalized, and now another death. Eri. And what's going to happen next? Huh? What could be worse than all of that? Yuzuru's death was enough for the school. We don't need any more tragedy, we've had our fair share already. Damn it. You know what? I might quit this shitty ass school. It wasn't even a good one anyway.

Can't anything happy happen, atleast once? I don't mean a lame party but something cool. I don't know. Maybe a party would be nice. I guess, but whatever. It's gotta be something good enough to distract us from all of this. Perhaps that trip, maybe...

Life right now is...boring. Got money and something special from the Holidays yesterday, and had turkey with my Dad. It was like all other nights, except for the turkey. My Dad really put his heart into it, I think. Awesome highlight was the "something special" - a new guitar. I'm not a huge fan of the electric, being a man of the acoustic tune, but this one is nice. Black with an amazing splash of red-brown. Cool, other than that it is so effing hard to tune. Lameass strings. I'll buy some new ones later.

Funny thing about the electric is the big government sticker on it. "Decadent Music Is Strictly Prohibited." Yeah, don't worry folks, I'll be playing pop crapola on the guitar made for rock purposes. Do not worry.

Hey, did you all hear the latest rumor concerning Takeshi? He's straight something in between all of the above a woman neuter gay! Of course, it's only a rumor. Do not listen to the gossips. It'll only give you a headache and get you into trouble. ^_^

I don't know what's been wrong with me for the past week. Whether it's hormones, or something else... I've just been going out of my way to avoid my friends, my father, and heck, even my guitar. It's like I've lost the will to be Ishimaru Akimoto, you know? Maybe it's because I've re-evaluated life recently; put things into perspective.

How far will Ishi go in a rock career? I'll move to America and hit rock bottom. I've got less of a chance of hitting it big musically than getting into that Battle Royale Program. ha!
How far will Ishi get with his friends? We're all such losers...it's just that I'm the coolest loser of the bunch. That's pathetic. I'd rather be the worst popular kid than the best loser. I hate this.

How far will Ishi go until he snaps? I don't know. Mom hasn't sent a letter in weeks. Bad omen? Maybe. Dad is starting to get worried that I haven't been talking to him and playing guitar. He can go piss himself for all I care. Gosh, he's getting on my nerves. Everyone is.

I can't wait until highschool. I just want to start over before things get worse.

Their friendship happened very gradually, and probably wouldn't've happened if they weren't paired up for school projects so many times. They started to hangout soon after that, and became good friends. Ishi is oblivious to Ryutaro liking him.

Amaya Hikari - Even though they're friends, Ishimaru doesn't actually know very much about Amaya, asides that she likes rock and enjoys talking about Shinoruand Kohaku, two kids from her old school. (Laura, I actually don't really know what to put down here. =P Like with Ian, me and you need to work this part out.)

Everything is (nearly) perfectly fine concerning Saburo. From what Ayami has told me, Saburo was let off with a harsh fine. Had to give them his guitar to pay it off, and had to promise he'd never play rock again otherwise things will happen. Shame, I guess, but that's a promise that Saburo's not going to keep. Am I right, or am I right? You can't keep the lead guitarist for S.A.K.E. from playing the music he loves. That just isn't cool.

Almost forgot! My callouses are gone. Stupid super glue...remind me never to work on miniatures again. But, I'm not going to complain. It could be a lot worse, such as me having to give my guitar away to the government "for safe keeping". Yeah, right.

I'm going to be original and not talk about the fight between Aki and Han. Go me!

Someone pushed me and pulled my hair in the hallway today. Whomever did that is lucky I didn't see them. Mess with Ishi's hair, and you're messing with the big guy himself. Know what I'm saying?

EDIT:
Not good, not good... Rumors around say that Saburo Akimoto, my fellow guitar playing cousin, has been arrested along with the other members of his band. Darn it! I'm going to have to call Ayami to really know what's up. Hopefully, Saburo's sentence won't be that serious. I mean, c'mon, it's only music!

I don't really know what to say about the missing painting, so I'm just going to say this...
Hopefully, the matter will be resolved and the painting returned safe and sound and unburned.

Over and out!

I went down to "Nanashi's" by myself. It's perfectly fine that none of you wanted to come along, so don't sweat it. Unfortunately, though, Goro - the guy that works there that I was talking about earlier - wasn't there. He was sick, or something. ...Whatever. So, I went to the video store that supposedly has all these great foreign films in it. What a lie! All the movies looked downright terrible, and heavily altered. Then again, what do you expect out of our beloved Greater East Asia? Like they'd allow a foreign film in without adapting it to suit them better. Pathetic! No matter, I picked up a movie about teachers going on a strike. Hopefully the dubbing won't be that bad...

Aiiro, wanna come over to my place later? My Dad's away doing whatever, so we can listen to music as loud as we want. It'll be fun. XD

Hey everyone, what's up? Obviously, this is Ishimaru Akimoto posting (who else would it be?). You know, the rocker. Ring a bell, yet? Good.

My cousin Ayami recently picked up several *American* Rock CDs. She had to go through heck to get them for me, and I am so glad she did. Not that there is anything wrong with Japanese Rock CDs, it's just that I plan on hitting it big singing American songs. ^_^ Saburo, another cousin of mine, is planning on giving me on some indepth guitar lessons. I'm really looking forward to it. Saburo's an awesome guitarist; hopefully I can play just as good as he can one of these days. Heh, who am I kidding, though? I am pretty darn good right now. All the lessons will do for me is polishing my already honed skills.

Anyone here feel the need to go down to "Nanashi's" later? It's that neat Music Store between "The Hiromasa Cafe" and that little videostore with all the foreign movies. I know a guy that works there that can hook us up with a bunch of Rock music. The prices are high, but if enough people come along and we all put our money together, we can buy two CDs at the very least. Wanna go, or nah?

Shuichi isn't a drunk, or anything, it's just that he gets lost in his studies and has to take a complete break from the people around him.

Ayami Akimoto (Cousin) - A 18 year old cousin of Ishimaru's. She visits Ishimaru's home oftenly, hanging around with her brother Saburo. Ayami and Ishimaru are very close thanks to the two's love of rock music. Unlike Ishimara, Ayami doesn't play a musical instrument. Instead, she's an avid fan of the genre who keeps on the lookout for whatever illegal rock material she can get her hands on.

Saburo Akimoto (Cousin) - A 22 year old cousin of Ishimaru's. He plays in a pathetic rock group called "S.A.K.E.", which he swears is the best undiscovered rock band out there. Boy, is he wrong... Saburo often visits Ishimaru's home with his younger sister Ayami. Recently, he has been giving guitar lessons to Ishimaru, even though Ishimaru believes that he doesn't need it.

Extra-Curricular Activites: Choir, and the Junior Varsity Soccer team.

Aiiro Watanabe - The two are very close friends. Will add more to this later. XD

Akimitsu Zenshima - Ishimaru hates Akimitsu simply because of his lack of appreciation for anything that remotely resembles rock. While Ishimaru believs that rock is an art, Akimitsu believes exactly the opposite. Of course, this causes a lot of needless friction between the two. As an added bonus, Ishimaru views Akimitsu as being a stuck-up tightwad.

Reika Takami - Although they aren't as close as he and Aiiro Watanabe, the two are on friendly terms.

Eri Fujimoto - Their relationship is on a rather neutral level.

Han Hakuba - Who doesn't hate Han? XD
